Biography
Kiricka Yarbough Smith has extensive experience across nonprofit and government sectors, with a strong background in social work, human services, management, program development, and training. With over 20 years of expertise, she has worked to address human trafficking, child abuse, hate crimes, and other forms of interpersonal and community violence through an intersectional approach.
Throughout her career, Kiricka has focused on building collaborations, expanding access to culturally specific services, and addressing institutional and systemic inequities. She provides consulting and capacity-building support, helping organizations create inclusive, impactful services. She has designed and implemented programs focused on combating human trafficking, improving child welfare systems, promoting equitable access to housing and employment, and advancing environmental sustainability through community-driven initiatives.
Kiricka’s experience extends to fundraising, strategic communications, financial oversight, and grant management, allowing her to develop strong partnerships with donors, foundations, and community organizations.
